Getting Here

Tonsai Beach is part of the Railay peninsula and is only accessible by boat because of the high mountains that surround it.

Private Transfers

We offer private transfers from Phuket International Airport and Krabi International Airport by car or van to the Andaman Siam Pier and from there by longtail boat or speedboat to the resort.

From Krabi Town and Krabi Airport

From Krabi bus station or airport, the easiest way to reach Tonsai is to take an airport limousine or taxi to Ao Nang. Alternatively, there is a 40 minutes shuttle ride from the airport.

We also offer Private Transfers to / from the resort. For more information and to book your transfer, please call +66 (0) 75 628 042 or email [email protected]

For long tail boat departure from the beaches to Tonsai, see below…

From Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara Beaches

Longtail boats only depart from the beaches at Ao Nang (to the right of Phanang Inn hotel) and Noppharat Thara (at Wangsai seafood restaurant) and stop at Tonsai first on their way to Railay Beach – journey time is around 15 minutes.

Inform the ticket seller and the boat man you want to go to Tonsai Bay, otherwise you will be taken to Railay West. Boats depart as soon as there are enough people to fill them, around 8-10 people. In high season this means they run fairly frequently, but there can be waits during off-season or later in the evening. You can also charter your own boat to leave immediately.

You may occasionally have to walk in the sea to get to the boat, so we recommend wearing appropriate dress and shoes.

It is only possible to buy one way tickets to Tonsai from Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara. A return journey can be bought directly at Tonsai Beach.

We also offer Private Transfers to / from the resort. For more information and to book your transfer, please call +66 (0) 75 628 042 or email [email protected]

From Railay Beach

You can actually hike from Railay Beach to Tonsai Beach following a narrow path. Although it is also theoretically possible to just walk over the rocks to the other side at low tide, we do not recommend this route.

The most convenient way is to take a private or public longtail boat which will carry you from / to Railay Beach in less than 5 minutes.

From Phi Phi Island

From November to April, ferries from / to Phi Phi Island depart and arrive daily, usually one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and journey time is around 1 3/4 hrs.

The ferry moors offshore and a free longtail boat service is available to carry passengers to and from the shore.

From Koh Lanta

From November to April, ferries from / to Koh Lanta depart and arrive daily.
